March Momentum: The reSpace® Movement is Growing

At reSpace, we are redrawing what homeownership can look like, and March was a powerful step forward. From expanding our homeowner outreach to readying our first property for launch, our team spent the month laying groundwork for a future where co-homeownership is accessible, attainable, and built around community.

Here is how the momentum is building.

Growing reach, real engagement

Our homeowner network is expanding, powered by new lead capture tools, consistent educational content, and a steady outreach strategy. Weekly blog posts and insights on LinkedIn are sparking conversations, answering real questions, and positioning reSpace as a clear voice in alternative paths to ownership.

Meanwhile, our acquisition team is dialing in. Literally. Our in-house reSpace Specialists are now making more than 100 calls a day to property owners whose homes align with our mission. It is a personal, high-touch approach, and it is producing strong connections with sellers who are curious about a different way forward.

Spotlight on Ballard: all eyes on The Grove

In Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, home to our flagship property, The Grove, we are launching a hyper-local marketing campaign built to connect directly with the community. It includes:

  • Direct mail postcards introducing reSpace
  • Geofenced digital and social advertising
  • Neighborhood signage to raise awareness

We are also finalizing interactive tools so buyers and neighbors can see what co-homeownership actually looks like:

  • Digital home books
  • Suite walkthroughs
  • 3D virtual tours

The moment permitting is finalized, we are ready to go live. We could not be more excited to bring this model to market.

Development progress

We have completed every required correction for permitting at The Grove and are now awaiting the city's response. Anticipating the next steps, our team commissioned additional engineering assessments so we can move without delay once approved. That puts us in a strong position to begin project execution and keep advancing our pipeline.

Partnering with city leaders

This month we deepened relationships with municipal leaders who share our commitment to expanding access to innovative housing. In Bellevue, we explored how co-homeownership can support the city's broader goals around sustainability, livability, and inclusive growth. We are encouraged by the alignment, and we are actively finding ways to collaborate on future housing solutions, from city-backed partnerships to pilot programs. These conversations are laying the groundwork for long-term impact across the region.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is co-homeownership at reSpace?

Co-homeownership is a structured way for multiple people to own a single home together, each with a private suite of their own plus shared common spaces. At reSpace, we handle the structure, the legal framework, and the management so ownership feels accessible and community-centered. It is a real path to owning in Seattle without carrying the full cost of a home alone.

Where is The Grove located?

The Grove is reSpace's flagship property in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. Ballard is a walkable, community-minded part of the city, which makes it a natural home for our first co-homeownership launch. We are running a hyper-local campaign there, including direct mail, geofenced advertising, and neighborhood signage, so neighbors and future buyers can see the model up close.

What does a private suite at reSpace include?

Each homeowner gets their own private suite, a self-contained living space designed for comfort and independence. Suites include amenities such as a wet bar, alongside access to thoughtfully designed shared areas in the home. The goal is real privacy when you want it and genuine community when you do not, all within a single Seattle property like The Grove.

How does reSpace choose the homes it works with?

Our in-house reSpace Specialists reach out directly to property owners across the region whose homes align with our mission. The team makes more than 100 calls a day, taking a personal, high-touch approach. We look for properties that suit the co-homeownership model and sit in connected, livable Seattle-area neighborhoods like Ballard and beyond.

Is reSpace working with local governments?

Yes. We are building relationships with municipal leaders across the region, including conversations in Bellevue about how co-homeownership supports sustainability, livability, and inclusive growth. We have also welcomed advisors with deep public-sector backgrounds at Sound Transit, the City of Bellevue, and beyond, helping us navigate permitting and policy as we expand.
