Shoulders of Giants | Featuring Art Harrigan

Can you imagine Seattle without T-Mobile Park or Lumen Field, the venues that host Taylor Swift tours and FIFA World Cup matches? It very nearly happened, and the reason it did not comes down to the legal prowess of one attorney: Art Harrigan.

This month we are honored to welcome Art Harrigan for an interview and Q&A benefiting RAVE Foundation, the official charitable partner of Seattle Sounders FC. Come hear his story, and how it shaped the city we know today.

On the Shoulders of Giants, Featuring Art Harrigan

Thursday, October 19th, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Registration starts at 10:30 am
Columbia Tower Club, downtown Seattle

"If I have seen further than others, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." Isaac Newton said it best. Every opportunity available to us today exists because of the great thinkers, builders, and creators who shaped our communities. Standing on the shoulders of these giants is what gives us the ability to see and create what comes next.

Art Harrigan will join us in conversation with Mike Flynn, longtime Puget Sound Business Journal publisher and frequent CEO interviewer, for an interview and Q&A.

Arthur Harrigan is the Seattle attorney who used his legal skill to keep the Seattle Mariners and the Seahawks right where they belong. He has since retired, but he should not be allowed to ride off into the sunset without proper thanks from the community whose professional teams remain here because of him. In essence, Harrigan's legal victories over Jeff Smulyan and Ken Behring stopped both teams from moving to other cities and paved the way for local ownership to step in.

Before and during the event, you are invited to enjoy the Columbia Tower Club's world renowned signature lunch, along with an auction of exquisite luxury trips and items. All proceeds benefit RAVE Foundation, the official charitable partner of Seattle Sounders FC.

A very limited number of tickets are available, so we would not wait.

Thoughtful technology and design turn a single home into a small community of individual owners.

Why does reSpace support community events like this one?

We believe a city is built by the people who stand up for it, from attorneys like Art Harrigan to the neighbors who make a place feel like home.
